Grade 8 Experience Camp
Decription:
The Gr8 Experience Camp is a program targeted towards grade 7 students making the transition to high school in September. The goal of the program is to support students in their transition to grade 8 by giving opportunities to discuss and engage with other grade 8 students as well as adults from the school and community. The program is designed to be both a typical summer camp with crafts, games, and activities as well as a hands-on information session. Taking place at Kitsilano Secondary School participants will have the opportunity to use lockers, explore the school, visit the local community, and discuss topics around nutrition, social media, among others. Program is being run by Kitsilano High School Community School Coordinator and Youth Worker from Kitsilano Community Centre
