Spray Park

The Vancouver Park Board’s spray park is the perfect way for people of all ages to cool off in the summer.

It’s fun, free, and there’s no swimming necessary!

Working with the Kitsilano Community Centre Association, the Kitsilano War Memorial Community Centre, and members of the community, the Vancouver Park Board renewed the existing spray park in Connaught Park in July of 2020 to make it more engaging, accessible, and sustainable.

The renewed spray park included a variety of new spray types and interactive features set within a vibrant new paving design. It also included numerous new bench and picnic-style seating options while maintaining the same footprint as the original park.

This busy park is lined with fantastic oak and catalpa trees, the latter decorating the fields with their exotic flowers in early summer. This is an excellent place to enjoy one of the shaded benches, whether watching kids in the spray park, resting, or observing a game of soccer or softball.

The spray park has unexpected water spouts, cannon streams, flower showers, and more.

All Vancouver Parks spray parks now have push buttons to turn on the water for five minutes at a time. It’s one way we’re following the water restrictions.

Most spray parks have limited or no supervision and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Spray parks will be operational from May 16 to September 30, 2026.

Our spray parks have user-activated switches allowing them to operate during stages 1 to 3 of the regional water use restrictions. Spray parks will close if we enter stage 4.
