Guitar for Intermediate (9-12 yrs: Parent Welcome)

Continue mastering the basics of guitar playing, both Classical style with notes and folk style with chords. Intermediate players should have at least 3 months previous guitar experience. We will do some folk songs, pop songs and other classics. Music will be provided. Students must bring their own guitars. Class maximum is limited, to ensure individual attention. Dance Extreme (7-12 yrs)

Come and explore a number of different styles of dance with a variety of guest dance artists. Enjoy an energetic exploration of movement in a warm, safe and inspiring environment. A class for young musicians to continue perfecting the basics of guitar playing, both Classical style with notes and folk style with chords. We will do some folk songs, pop songs and other classics. Music will be provided. Students must bring their own guitars. Class maximum is limited, to ensure individual attention. Intermediate players should have 1-2 years of guitar experience.

A Firefighters Global Cycle: Jaws of Life

In this special Village Vancouver program, Fire Captain Rudy Pospisil will present a slide show of his cycling trip around the world over a period of 10 years from Vancouver for cancer charity. Rudy crossed 15 countries and 29,000 km, and set two world records along the way. In the course of his journey, he was struck by cars, robbed by bandits, bitten by snakes, and beat cancer twice. His film, Jaws of Life, will air on CBC next winter.
