Many First Nations people from all over Canada live and work in Vancouver. We will hear stories from our Canadian Prairie residents. Come and enjoy an afternoon learning about their culture, their industries and their latest accomplishments. Savoury and sweet snacks will be served.
Older Adults are invited to attend our social gatherings on the first Friday of the month (April 5, May 3, June 7) to learn more about programs at the centre and in the community. Event includes a complimentary light lunch. Please call the front desk at 604.257.6980 no less than one week in advance to reserve your space.
Berries are an important ingredient in the First Nations diet throughout Canada. We will be teaching a recipe using our local berries. Come and enjoy these snacks along with a favourite savoury and a drink.
Cedar Feast House with Theresa Contois will be catering our Indigenous Luncheon again this year. BBQ Salmon will be the feature dish along with vegetable dishes, salads and desserts. Our Bingo Word Game with prizes are always a fun part of our afternoon.
