Youth Night – Basketball

Welcome back to youth open gym at Kitsilano Community Centre! Looking to get back into the game and tune up your skills? Pre-register now to reserve your spot to shoot around and practice your dribbling! Please note the following rules to be followed in the gymnasium: How to Play:Please arrive no later than 10 mins prior to your program time, otherwise you forfeit your spot.No scrimmaging with your friends (no one on one, no fours, no full court games at this time – for now, skills and drills only!)2 people per 1 hoopWash your hands before and after playGet your own rebound (no sharing of equipment)Once you enter the gym space, you may use the bathroom, but there is no loitering in the hallways or gymnasium (no ins and outs)Stick to your designated hoop and space to maintain physical distancingNo handshakes or hugs with your friends (even though it will be exciting to see them)No food or drink in the gymnasium.Registration details:Registration begins 3 days before time slot at 9:30am. Each time slot is 60 mins long.Keep 2 metres apart at all times.Limit play to singles. Register each person from the group.Bring your own basketball.Clearly mark your ball and refrain from picking up other person’s ball.Casual skills and drills play only: no lessons or organized practices allowed.
