Chair Yoga with Linda
January-11 to March-22, 2021 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am PST
Participants will do classical yoga poses with the support of a chair. A chair is a versatile prop that provides extra stability, especially if one is practicing with stiffness, weakness or injury. The class will be suitable for all ages and will be of particular benefit to seniors. This class is registration only. Drop-ins will not be allowed.Chairs will be provided. Students must bring their own yoga mat and are encouraged to bring a yoga block and a strap too if possible. These props will not be available in the room.Please wear a mask to class. Students may choose to remove the mask once they have taken a place in the room and the class begins. We will be following a COVID-19 protocol. The room and chairs will be cleaned prior to each class and the chairs spaced at a recommended distance for safety. This class is held in the Lobby Room. Check-in will begin 5 minutes prior to start time. Please enter the building through the main entrance located on Larch Street and check-in with the staff. Please be ready to begin as washroom capacity is limited.NOTE: The nature of the activity is such that you may interact with other people who are considered to be in good health, continuous physical distance between other people cannot be guaranteed, and, by participating in the activity, you are at risk of being infected by a pathogen, including but not limited to SARS-COV-2. SARS-COV-2, which causes the disease COVID-19, may exacerbate other health issues and is the cause of an ongoing global pandemic. SARS-COV-2 is highly communicable and dangerous. If you become infected with SARS-COV2, you may transmit it to other people even if you are not exhibiting symptoms of illness.
