This free event is a discussion about Romeo & Juliet with Sean Cook at the Kitsilano Community Centre, Snowy’s Lounge 2690 Larch Street Saturday, April 29th, 1:30-4:30pm,

Rain or Shine. Come a few minutes earlier to get settled, your hosts will be cooking in the kitchen and you can drop by the garden before coming in to Snowy’s Lounge. We will be serving light refreshments.

It is no accident that after 400 years Shakespeare’s plays are still performed around the world, studied in most secondary schools, often in translation, and made into movies. My goal during our afternoon together is to use the text, audio recordings, dvd, historical context and some group work, to demonstrate why Romeo and Juliet may well approach the divine.
